Let’s Not Put the People in Charge of the Veterans Administration in Charge of the Internet

Seton Motley | Less Government

Or the Entire Web?

The Veterans Administration (VA) has been a disaster since just about its inception.  Because it is government-only monopoly single-payer health care.  Championed by the exact same people dying to impose it on all the rest of us.

Then-Community Organizer Barack Obama:

“I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer…universal health care plan.

“I don’t think we’re going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately.  There’s going to potentially be some transition process.

Does that “transition process” look like this?

The Bigger the Government – the Worse the Economy

Seton Motley | Less Government

The Bite Keeps Getting Bigger

We’ve seen it in too many sectors of the economy to possibly mention – both domestically and internationally. The greater the government involvement in an economic sector – the greater the ensuing economic damage. To that sector – and the broader economy.

Every additional upward ratchet of the government regulatory winch (it is rarely wound down) lessens the ability of the sector to grow – then to even exist.

For the Left, these are assaults on the economy to effect an ideological outcome – its total government-ization. They want the government running everything. ObamaCare, anyone?

The Twentieth Century showed us again and again that the results are disastrous. Facts to which the Left remains impervious in the Twenty-First. More

The Media’s Coverage of Net Neutrality – Short and to the Left

What at times is worse than the Jurassic Press not covering something?  The Jurassic Press covering something.

The all-encompassing government-Internet-power-grab that is Network Neutrality rarely gets outside-the-Tech-World media attention.  But Thursday the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted in Democrat Party-line fashion to begin its process of imposing it.  This was a big enough deal that it garnered over-the-weekend Big Media coverage from ABC (with a Bloomberg assist) and PBS (with a Washington Post assist).

And it will shock you to learn that they only provided the pro-regulation side of the discussion – leaving out myriad essential points that are at cross-purposes with their government-growth efforts.

Their reporting was in fact so warped that – as huge as the FCC’s power grab is – there was palpable upset that the Commission didn’t go further.  And hope that it will increase its overreach as the process moves forward. More

The Left’s Ultimate Internet Objective

Allow me to (re)introduce you to the hardcore Leftists rabble rousing for a full-on government takeover of the World Wide Web.

Theirs is now an all-out push to have the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) “Reclassify” the Internet – so as to then impose the utterly unpopular Network Neutrality.

Rushing to Regulate: Democrat Rosenworcel is Right – So She Should Vote ‘No’ on Net Neutrality

The Horse Agrees

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Democrat Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel yesterday made a very good point.

Rosenworcel: Delay Vote on Net Neutrality Rules

Democratic FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel has asked FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler to delay his planned May 15 vote on a draft of new network neutrality rules by at least a month….

“His proposal has unleashed a torrent of public response. Tens of thousands of e-mails, hundreds of calls, commentary all across the Internet….

“We need to respect that input and we need time for that input.  So while I recognize the urgency to move ahead and develop rules with dispatch, I think the greater urgency comes in giving the American public opportunity to speak right now, before we head down this road. More

The Barack Obama Administration is back at it – yet another Big Government power grab is in the works.

The Administration’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is yet again resurrecting Network Neutrality – an all-encompassing Internet usurpation twice unanimously killed by court as an illegal overreach.
