As Rush Limbaugh Routinely Demonstrates: The Media’s Lockstep Leftist Talking Points

The Media –
As Always, Circling the Wagons

We’ve time and again seen the media receive their messaging orders – and then march off all mouthing the Leftist talking point(s) of the day. Washington, D.C.-based talk radio host Chris Plante quotes a military friend of his describing the media not as a gaggle, but as a centipede. Multitudinous legs in coordinated movement – all headed in the same direction.

Talk radio impresario Rush Limbaugh has long made audio cavalcades of this media mal-practice a routine feature of his show. He strings together “media montages” – innumerable examples of “reporters” magically all arriving at the exact same Leftist term(s) to describe the news of the day.

The media is just as mindlessly repetitive on all things Tech. As it has been of late when reporting on the huge government Internet power grab – the woefully mis-named Network Neutrality. Which the Barack Obama Administration unilaterally imposed via a “vote” by three unelected Federal Communications Commission (FCC) bureaucrats. All of whom are Democrats. All of whom were appointed by the President. (The FCC’s two Republicans voted Nay.)

There has never been popular support for this power grab. In 2010, 95 Democrats running for Congress signed a pro-Net Neutrality pledge – all 95 lost. There were in advance of this illegal imposition two rounds of FCC Public Comment. The Tech World – media and all – rallied to the pro-imposition cause. Huge companies like Google and Facebook, Netflix and Amazon all joined the chorus. And yet the record-setting Comment tally – was at best (for them) a tie. Of course the Administration jammed us with it anyway.

So now the House of Representatives – the elected-Republican-uber-majority-led body most directly responsive and responsible to We the People – is considering doing what the Constitution expressly empowers them to do when the Executive Branch overreaches its delineated powers. Congress has the power of the purse – and all spending bills must originate in the House. So some House members are looking to fund the government with a stipulation – that no money budgeted for the FCC be spent on executing its Net Neutrality power grab.

Which is perfectly reasonable. The FCC has already twice tried to impose Net Neutrality – and twice been rejected by the courts for overreaching. Combine that with the American people’s rejection of it – and the House is well within rational, representative Constitutional bounds in defunding it.

The uber-radical, pro-Net Neutrality Free Press calls this orderly, Constitutional process – a “sneak attack.” Please note: According to them, a little-heard-of government bureaucracy and its three unknown Democrat bureaucrats unilaterally, unConstitutionally imposing Net Neutrality isn’t a sneak attack. The People’s elected representatives in Constitutional and very public fashion trying to defund it is.

And the media – in mindless, uniform fashion – fall in Leftist messaging line.
