EPA Administrator Pruitt Needs to Stop Needing the Left to Like Him

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.org

They’re Just Not That Into You

During the awful epoch that was the Barack Obama Administration, Scott Pruitt was a fearless free market champion.

Pruitt was in 2010 elected Oklahoma’s Attorney General. And in that capacity he spent a lot of his time fending off the Obama Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with a whip and a chair.

As an Attorney General, Pruitt’s whip and chair – were lawsuits. Lots and lots of lawsuits. Fourteen, all told. Do not be mistaken – Pruitt was not overly litigious. The Obama EPA was just that obnoxiously overreaching.

The Obama EPA was actually even more obnoxiously overreaching than that. I’m guessing Pruitt was limited to just the fourteen – by a lack of sufficient resources.

Pruitt was doing God’s work – tending His freedom fields.

So of course the Left loathed him.

Then happened one the most miraculous miracles in the history of miraculous miracles – Donald Trump won the presidency. And immediately began enacting his Undo-the-Obama-Administration-Agenda agenda. More

The Left’s Latest Copy-and-Paste Fake Grassroots Campaign

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.org

Leftist Electronic Fakery

The Left is notorious for runaway gangbuster campaigns with massive grassroots groundswell support – that are actually not runaway gangbuster campaigns with massive grassroots groundswell support.

The Left’s ideas – are awful. Because of this awfulness – their ideas aren’t very popular with We the People.

Thus the Left isn’t any good at generating support. But they are absolutely GREAT at making it look like they are generating support.

In these fraudulent endeavors – they have many massive built-in advantages over we who fight for Reality-based public policy solutions that garner actual public support. More

College IS for Dummies: Harvard Government-Run-Internet Edition

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.org

SO Worth It

One of our ongoing, recurring themes is – College IS for Dummies.

Colleges and universities aren’t education facilities. They are continued indoctrination centers – they pick up where government schools K-12 leave off.

Government schools indoctrinate the radicals – colleges activate the radicals.

The Academies have for more than half a century been packed to the rafters with absurdly Leftist professors and administrators.

Conservative legend William F. Buckley first gained national prominence by writing “God and Man at Yale.” Which chronicled his all-encompassing uber-Left experience as an undergrad – and was published in 1951.

That was eighteen years before Woodstock – and the ridiculous, radical campus “freedom” movement. Where school faculty after school faculty allowed the student inmates to storm their offices, take over and run the asylum. More

President Trump Needs to Dump the Obama Holdover Puerto Rico ‘Fiscal Control’ Board

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.org

May We Please Finally
Allow the Puerto Ricans
Out from Under This Guy?

We have spent the last year-plus repeatedly stating that President Donald Trump’s biggest error – has been not having made many, many more people leave government after he arrived.

This is true not just in Washington, D.C. – but anywhere on the planet the federal Leviathan rears an ugly tentacle.

Like, say, in Puerto Rico. With it’s Barack Obama-seven-appointee-laden, ridiculously named “Fiscal Control” Board.

Noted fiscal prudent Obama’s Puerto Rican “Fiscal Control” Board exhibits fiscal control – the way Obama’s “Affordable Health Care” Act makes health care affordable.

They of course do not. Obama’s “Fiscal Control” Board is just more DC doublespeak – but in the Caribbean, with a tan.

The Board’s latest demonstration of its utter unfamiliarity with its charge? More

Net Neutrality and Government-Run Internet: The Left’s New Excuse for an Awful Old Idea

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.org

The Non-Stupid Money
Is on ‘No’

The Left’s cavalcade of lies continues unabated about…everything.

The examples are nigh endless – but for our purposes here let us focus on the latest avalanche about the Internet.

A month ago, the Donald Trump Administration was on the verge of undoing the Barack Obama Administration’s ridiculous huge government imposition on the Web.

Contained within the Obama Administration’s Trojan Horse of “Network Neutrality” – was their in 2015 imposing a 1934 government-monopoly landline telephone regulations regime on to the Internet.

The Obama Administration did this because their grab magically gave the government a huge new swath of regulatory and taxing powers over the Internet – that they didn’t have the way the the government (didn’t) regulate the Internet from its mid-1990s private sector inception until the 2015 grab. The World’s Global Trade Slush Funds – This Isn’t Free Trade

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.org

Let’s End This, Shall We?

We have oft detailed and analyzed the fake-ness of what has for decades passed for “free trade” in Washington, D.C.

DC has for half-a-century-plus removed all government impediments to our market for every other country on the planet. While continuing to allow every other country on the planet to hinder and hamper our exporting companies – with as many government impediments to their markets as they can possibly conceive.

This isn’t free trade. Imagine the United States – and it’s world’s-largest economy – as the hub of a global wheel. And all of the very many spokes are one-way streets, running only inward. On which every other nation delivers us their goods and services – and we can’t get anything out.

Decades of this dumbness has been a key contributor to why we have hemorrhaged millions of jobs and trillions of dollars – bleeding it all out into the international marketplace.

When we think of other-government-impediments to our entering their markets – the two things that immediately leap to mind are tariffs and regulations. They impose huge taxes and regulatory limitations on our imports – dramatically limiting their end of the “free trade” equation. More

Next on Net Neutrality: Democrats Will Campaign on Reimposing Huge Government

Yes, Please

Before last year’s year-end tax reform success – there were in fact precedent legislative achievements by this Congress.

Behold the Congressional Review Act (CRA): “The law empowers Congress to review, by means of an expedited legislative process, new federal regulations issued by government agencies and, by passage of a joint resolution, to overrule a regulation.

“Once a rule is thus repealed, the CRA also prohibits the reissuing of the rule in substantially the same form or the issuing of a new rule that is substantially the same ‘unless the reissued or new rule is specifically authorized by a law enacted after the date of the joint resolution disapproving the original rule.’”

The Congress spent a good portion of the early part of 2017 passing CRA after CRA – happily signed again and again by President Donald Trump.

EPA Secretary Pruitt: The Eco-Nuts Will Never, Never Like You

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.org

Remember Who Your Actual Friends Are – and the Fact That You’re Not a Radical Leftist

In the great Aaron Sorkin television creation “West Wing,” very accomplished fake president Jed Bartlet goes in for a brief bit of therapy. During which the following exchange occurs:

Bartlet: “It’s not good for a person to keep setting goals?”

Psychologist: “It probably is. But it’s tricky for somebody who is still trying to get his father to stop hitting him….”

Bartlet: “I’m not trying to get my father to like me.”

Psychologist: “Good. Because it’s never, never going to happen.”

It is of this conversation that I thought when I read of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Secretary Scott Pruitt’s possible way-overkill cleanup plan for a Saint Louis, Missouri Superfund site. More

Net Neutralized – by Government: Iran’s Mullahs Kill the Web

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.org

Less Government – More Internet

In what could be called The Green Revolution 2.0 – 1.0 took place in 2009 – Iran’s abused and suffering citizenry has again taken to the streets to protest their awful totalitarian mullah-ocracy.

And Iran’s awful totalitarian government did what governments everywhere these days do when their rabble are roused – it killed the Internet.

Iran Is Blocking the Internet to Shut Down Protests: “As protests over economic instability and government censorship persist in Iran, the Hassan Rouhani government has reportedly wielded its favorite suppression tactic: blocking the internet.”

Again, it ain’t just Iran’s awful totalitarian government that likes to kill the Internet. Governments the world over are big fans of shutting down the World Wide Web. More

Trump’s Hugely Successful Trade Approach – Should Be Applied to Farm Commodities

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.org

‘Are We There Yet?’
FINALLY, We Are

There is a whole lot of good going on in Donald Trump’s America. If you’re relying upon the traditional, ridiculous media – you don’t know about any of it.

If you’re relying upon the traditional, ridiculous media – you are eminently informed about Independent Counsel Robert Mueller’s in-depth investigation into the Trump campaign’s extensive collusion with Russia.

Except there remains zero evidence of the Trump campaign’s collusion with Russia. And Counsel Mueller is anything but independent. His team is packed to the rafters with Leftist hacks who repeatedly broke the law to cover up Hillary Clinton’s repeated lawbreaking – and ginned up investigatory “insurance policies” to deal with a prospective Trump presidential win.

That ongoing, rolling year-plus #FakeNews barrage – has served to allow the traditional, ridiculous media to avoid reporting all sorts of very positive things that would reflect very well upon Trump and his Administration. More
