Oh Look – Trump Is Right on Trade

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.org

Indubitably

Now-President Donald Trump has for decades been decrying the very bad international deals – trade and otherwise – that the United States has for decades been cutting. He ran for and won the Presidency – in no small part because of his infusion of this reality into the reality-free world of DC politics and policy.

In 1987 – undoubtedly as a part of his public relations campaign to promote his then-new book “The Art of the Deal” – Trump placed $100,000 advertisements in The New York Times and other newspapers decrying the bad global agreements of all sorts to which we were subjecting ourselves.

In 1988, Trump was asked about it on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” He in part responded:

“We let Japan come in and dump everything right into our markets. It’s not fair trade. If you ever go to Japan right now and try to sell something – forget about it, Oprah, just forget about it. It’s almost impossible…. More

The Left’s Latest Dud: Trying to Recreate the Magic – Almost Never Works

Certainly the Most Recent.
Well, One of the Most Recent…

Radio impresario Rush Limbaugh routinely, rightly identifies a consistent feature of the human condition: The inability to recreate the spontaneous excellence of an earlier event.

You’ve likely experienced this. For instance, you awaken on a Saturday – and you and your friends decide to pull together a party for that evening. No time for any real planning – just enough to get the word out as best you can.

The stand-up, impromptu nature of the gathering – actually adds to its allure. Word spreads widely and rapidly – and by the time the evening rolls around, everyone has the sense that its going to be something special.

And it is. It’s an all-time barn-burner. Everyone has a ball. So much so – that everyone decides to have another party two weeks hence. More

Wednesday’s Leftist Whine Fest: If You Pay Them, All Greed is Forgiven

Straight Cash

Wednesday brings us yet another ridiculous Left protest against President Donald Trump and his reasonable, rational, less government agenda.

This tiny, goofy gaggle has dubbed this particular bit of inanity a “Day of Action.” (Though given the huge government, debilitating policies they promote – “Day of Traction” is far more accurate.)

As we chronicled last week, this particular Day of Nonsense is the organizational effort of radical, terrorist-loving, self-described “queer activist singer/songwriter, organizer, parent, speaker, and workshop facilitator” Evan Greer.

Why any company or media outlet would want to be in any way a proponent of this anti-American man and his radical plan – is light years beyond us.

Greer is in charge of rallying to keep in place a Barack Obama Administration uber-huge Internet power grab. They unilaterally imposed a 1934 landline telephone regulatory regime – so as to then impose the ridiculous Network Neutrality. More

The Media-Left’s Uber-Fringe, Terrorist-Loving July 12 ‘Day of Traction’

Pleasant Company They’re Keeping

One of the very many things that has been hammered home in the President Donald Trump era – is that if the media wants to make a non-story a story, they certainly can. At least for them and theirs.

No matter how ridiculous and fact-free the tale. It can be patently obvious that the “A” they are selling is actually “Not A” – but that matters not. The media floods the zone with it, and that’s all we get.

Trump-Russia collusion, anyone? We’re now a year in to the Media-Democrat complex screeching incessantly about Trump collaborating with Vladimir Putin’s Russia to steal November’s election.

CNN is absolutely obsessed. More than half of all MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow’s segments between February 20 and March 31 – were directly about it (and that count excludes stories that mentioned it, but weren’t directly on it). It is just about all you can get from anyone in the legacy Jurassic Press.

There remains zero evidence thereof. All along the way, all sorts of Democrats and Leftists have continually, begrudgingly admitted that there is zero evidence thereof. But that’s the storyline to which the Media-Left wishes to adhere – so we’re stuck with it. More
