The Lies the Left Tells Us – and Themselves

Democrat Operatives
Are Always Standing By

“They were never going to let me be president.”

This was 2016 Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton’s delusional reaction to the less her awful, dishonest, and-yet-entitled campaign falling short of the mark.

Clinton was absolutely sure she would win. In no small part because the media – Clinton’s combo steno pool and cheerleading team – promised her and everyone else she would win.

Who is Clinton’s “they?” Perhaps her deluded “vast right wing conspiracy.” Who knows. It is a fool’s errand to try to rationally analyze the irrational.

Ayn Rand and Robert Louis Stevenson offer a quote combination that best assesses the Left’s post-election reaction.

Ayn Rand: “One can ignore reality, but one cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.”

Robert Louis Stevenson: “Sooner or later everyone sits down to a banquet of consequences.”

For the Left on Election Night – dinner was served.

Their immediate reaction – was to concoct yet another giant lie. More

Perhaps….

Those of us who didn’t succumb to government schools – know of the horrendous days of Democrat President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his hyperactive, spastic, shotgun-style approach to government.

Completely clueless on how to address the Great Depression, Roosevelt’s administration chose to spasmodically fire government money in nigh every direction. Hoping to spray enough bureaucratic coin to cover the Earth – and thereby mitigate the damage…his own overactive government was massively exacerbating.

Perhaps Oprah Winfrey came upon her idea to give everyone in her audience a car – by researching the Roosevelt administration.

“You get a program! And you get a program!! And YOU a program!!!”

The Great Depression would have been but a mild recession – were it not for Roosevelt’s huge government incursions into the private sector. More

Big Tech’s Big Data Means Big Money – and Big Problems for Our Economy

Beware…Everyone Else

Still at top of mind for many is last week’s Facebook Edition of Congressional Oversight Theatre.

Where our elected officials pretend to do something about something – by holding hearings.

During which they look and sound very outraged at the latest outrage. They create soundbites and press releases they can send back home – to prove to their districts that they are doing something about something.

South Carolina Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy is someone who has built quite the reputation with his DC theatrical performances. The former prosecutor asks at hearing he sometimes chairs pointed, insightful questions – and often gets Leftist Swamp Creatures to hang themselves with their answers. More

Yes, Please

I am a virulent free trader. I love commerce between nigh any peoples and nations with whom the exchanges are on equal footing – and as unfettered as possible by government intervention and imposition.

The problems arise – when we venture out into a world full of countries in love with government intervention and imposition.

Every nation on the planet has the inherent desire to tilt the commercial scales in their favor. I fully understand the aspiration – but we should demand it never become commercial policy.

Unfortunately, we have spent the last half century or so – allowing the world’s nations to do exactly that. Very much to our national detriment.

In no small part because – from all appearances – the United States’ Establishment does not share the rest of the world’s inherent desire to make our nation better. More

Banning Internet ‘Fast Lanes’: The Left’s Latest Crony Assault on the Free Market and Reality

Big Tech and Big Government
Greasing Each Other’s Skids

There are very many stupid aspects of the stupid government power grab that is Network Neutrality. A brief reintroduction….

Net Neutrality is the Trojan Horse that gets the government very thoroughly into the business of regulating the Internet. The Internet being the place for nigh all things free speech and free market going forward.

Net Neutrality – is your one-stop-shop for all things government censorship and control of the Web.

Under the phony guise of “neutrality,” “equality” and “fairness” – the government would be able to do to the Internet exactly what, say, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) did to President Barack Obama’s political opponents.

Only in a much more all-encompassing fashion – because the Internet is increasingly everything.

You see what Big Tech Facebook, Twitter and Google do to political people they don’t like? Instantaneous silencing and banishment.

Net Neutrality allows the government – to do exactly what these Big Tech companies do. More

A Half Century of Squish

Washington, D.C. purports to be the capitol not just of America – but of the entirety of the free world.

A self-aggrandizement belied by the type of alleged policy makers that mostly populate the place. Oh – and they are alleged policy makers:

Congress Is Mostly Done Legislating for the Year

This article was published…on March 25. And Congress is done. The Republican majority seems to think their tax reform bill – and only their tax reform bill – is enough to get them through the November midterm elections.

I’ll remind these Elephants of their 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney – who won the first general election debate, and then tried to rest on those laurels for the rest of the campaign.

Instead of running the White House, Romney is now running for a layup Senate seat in Utah. More

Big Tech – Especially Google – Must Be Thrilled Facebook is Getting All the Attention

The Big Tech Business Model

Facebook is getting about two minutes’ worth – of what it’s like to be Donald Trump every second of every day for the last almost two years.

When the myopic World of Left-Media fixates its Sauron gaze – and collectivist anger – upon you.

But Facebook is a Big Tech company – in decade-plus-long excellent Leftist standing. What could they possibly have done to elicit this all-encompassing wrath?

Everyone’s Suddenly Upset with Facebook’s Data Abuses – Because A Non-Leftist Did It

Which is, of course, a dose of hypocrisy so massive – as to send planets careening out of their respective orbits.

Facebook has been in decade-plus-long excellent Leftist standing – in no small part because they have repeatedly, generously and copiously allowed Democrats nigh unlimited access to their data. And helped Donkeys in oh-so-many other ways. More

While We’re in a Less Government Mood….

A Foundational Block of our Information Economy

President Donald Trump’s Administration has been the most conservative and government-reducing since at least Calvin Coolidge’s.

Trump has slashed regulations in a million different directions. He has appointed judges and a Supreme Court Justice who interpret the Constitution rather than rewrite it – which can only lead to less government. He has championed immigration law and border enforcement, which will curtail the massive influx of Third World government-money-recipients – which can only lead to less government.

Meanwhile on Capitol Hill, Senate Democrats have serially, repeatedly blocked Congressional Republicans’ attempts to join with Trump in reducing government. (That is, when Congressional Republicans aren’t themselves passing ridiculous government-expanding omnibus spending bills.)

We would like to see Republicans again return to their less government ways. And they have a great opportunity to do so – with the STRONGER Patents Act: More

You Can Trust Big Tech Too

The Internet is a twenty-year-and-counting free speech-free market Xanadu.

The free market part has been amazing. United States Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have invested more than $1 trillion building the connective tissue – the infrastructure that inter-Webs us all.

And the result has been us going from “What’s the Internet?” – to the Internet being 1/6th of our $18-trillion-per-annum economy. And our Net speed going from 14.4K dial-up sloth – to 1GB+ of blitzkrieg bop. And ever-climbing speeds – by the hour, it seems. And just wait until they deliver unto us 5G.

The Web’s free market explosion – has fostered the accompanying, unprecedented free speech explosion. Nothing prior made it so easy to speak one’s mind – and thereafter amplify said speech.

Unfortunately, as nigh always happens when a new free market sector rises up – there is a tendency for it all to be controlled by a tiny cabal. Where a few players with foresight stake out massive claims to their respective swaths – and quash and squash all subsequent competitors. More

Silicon Valley’s Anti-Conservatism Is Getting Really Ridiculous

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.org

Conservatives Being Correct is a Blockable Offense

It is the world’s worst kept secret that most massive companies of the Silicon Valley – and the broader Tech World – loathe conservatives and conservatism.

Google (Market Cap: $799 billion), Amazon (Market Cap: $770 billion) Facebook (Market Cap: $535 billion) and Twitter (Market Cap: $27 billion) are but four monstrous entities of the many monstrous Tech entities that are openly hostile to anyone to the right of Josef Stalin and/or Mao Zedong.

Sure these monstrously rich companies can spend tons of political money against conservatives. And they do.

New Data Shows Just How Liberal Silicon Valley Donors Are

But a huger and even more pernicious problem for conservatives and conservatism is – these companies dominate the Internet. Which is nothing less than the 21st Century’s chief communications platform. More
