The Left: When You Can’t Win – Blame and Break the System

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.org

Seton Motley | Less Government | LessGovernment.orgRepublican presidential candidates have made it a recent habit of losing the popular vote – but winning the Electoral College…and thus the White House.

The Left’s response?  Try better and harder to connect with voters in the swing states that have of late swung to Republicans?  Heavens no.

They blame the system.  And try to break it.

Time to End the Electoral College

It’s Time to End the Electoral College

How to End the Electoral College and Elect Our Next President by Popular Vote

The Left never acknowledges it’s their ideas that are broken.  So to get them implemented – they break everything else.

Network Neutralityis very stupid Leftist policy:

“Network neutrality requires all Internet service providers (ISPs) to provide the same level of data access and speed to all traffic…

“The concept that all data on the internet should be treated equally by corporations, such as internet service providers, and governments, regardless of content, user, platform, application or device.”

It is Socialism for the Internet – it guarantees everyone equal amounts of nothing.

See: Venezuela.

Because if you pretend all data is equal – and it’s not – you eviscerate everyone’s online experience.

Here in Reality, all data isn’t equal – for about nine trillion different very good reasons.

You do not want your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to treat an email from your grandmother – the exact same way it treats an email from a Nigerian prince promising you millions of dollars.

And phony data “equality” – prohibits about nine trillion excellent things to do online.

For example, I would very much like to allow doctors to perform remote surgeries via a strong, sturdy online connection.  And I would like them to be able to pay more for more bandwidth – to ensure a dedicated, uninterrupted connection whilst opening up patients.

Net Neutrality won’t permit them to do that.

Because Net Neutrality prohibits anyone paying more – for more product.

Which is about as antithetical to Reality as it gets.

As we’ve seen during the China Virus FREAK OUT!!! – being limited to one paper product per visit…ain’t a whole lot of fun.

Net Neutrality – is immediate and permanent bandwidth rationing.  With everyone ultimately getting equal amounts of nothing.

See: Venezuela.

Net Neutrality has never been popular with We the People.

95 Pro-Net Neutrality Democrats All Lost on Tuesday

And what little alleged support the Left allegedly cobbles together – is all lies and deceit.

Free Press and NTEN Con Nonprofits into Supporting Net Neutrality

Net Neutrality-loving Democrats controlled both Houses of Congress and the White House under Barack Obama for two entire years – and they STILL couldn’t pass Net Neutrality legislation.

So Obama instead did an end-run around his Democrat Congressional colleagues – and unilaterally imposed it via Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Executive Branch fiat.

Enter President Donald Trump.  Obama’s illegal Net Neutrality fiat was in place for about a year – until the Trump FCC reversed it.

Now, during all of these unilateral bureaucracy regulation-makings-and-unmakings – there are “Public Comment Periods.”

How to Comment on FCC Proceedings:

“Gathering and analyzing comments from the public is an important part of the FCC’s rulemaking process, and it allows the public to participate in developing rules and polices that affect telecommunications and broadcast issues.”

Actually, it is none of those things.  Or at least it shouldn’t be.

The Utter Dumbness of the Bureaucracy ‘Comment Period’:

“Where some agency of which you’ve never heard – and to whom you’ve elected no one – quietly announces a period where you can file thoughts on the damage they’re about to inflict upon you.

“Of course, the Comment Period is entirely and solely Democracy Theater. (Again, we’re a republic, not a democracy.)

“Again, if the government wants to do something new – the process has to begin with legislation by the Legislative Branch. Not bureaucratic fiats by Executive Branch agencies.

“The Comment Periods – are just dumb. Again, these bureaucrats aren’t elected. And they are under no obligation whatsoever to have the comments you file – affect at all what they’re about to do to you.

“If the comments favor the power grab they are about to execute – they trumpet the results, and move forward as planned.

“If the comments oppose – they ignore the results, and move forward as planned.”

Heads they win – tails we lose.

Of course, it’s government receiving the comments – so government repeatedly fails at receiving the comments.

And government keeps getting faked out by fake comments.

In fact….

Deepfake Bot Submissions to Federal Public Comment Websites Cannot Be Distinguished from Human Submissions – December 18, 2019

What a colossal waste of time all of this is.

As we said – the bureaucracy Comment period…is utterly dumb.

Please keep in mind:

It is this FCC – which is serially unable to keep its website up and running – that the Left wants overlording the entire Internet.

And as we’ve seen yet again since the advent of the China Virus FREAK OUT!!! – Net Neutrality is in fact antithetical to a free and open and optimally functioning Internet.

China Virus Breaks Europe’s Internet – Not the US’s. Why? Uber-Regs Like Net Neutrality

The Left has never won the argument in favor of Net Neutrality – so they couldn’t pass legislation implementing Net Neutrality.

So after having lived by the unilateral executive fiat – they’ve now died by it.

Does the Left try better and harder to connect with voters – and convince them that Net Neutrality is the way to go?  Heavens no.

They blame the system.  And try to break it.

Except….

Here’s a better thought – and we know it’s better…because it’s right there in the Constitution:

“All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”

The Congress’ “Comment Period” – is infinite.  Both during the legislative process – and because we get to un-elect them if we don’t like what they’re doing.

And that “Comment Period” – is also right there in the Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law…prohibiting the…petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Let’s stop having unelected Executive Branch bureaucrats unconstitutionally, unilaterally imposing things like Net Neutrality.

And pretend to listen to us – with zero consequences if they don’t.

Let’s instead do it the old fashioned, Constitutional way.

Members of Congress – elected by We the People – put forward Net Neutrality legislation.

During that process – we can publicly issue all the Comments we want.

And we can dump them out of office – should we not like what they choose to do.

The problem isn’t the system.

The problem is – we aren’t using the system.
